Spotify playlist thing, part 3

Right, so hopefully I'll get through all of my playlists tonight. When I'm done with this, I'll probably go back to posting one song a day, unless I get another cool idea.

Playlist: A7X, BFMV +++
Song: Escape the Fate - Dragging Dead Bodies In Blue Bags Up Really Long Hills
Cool riffs, quite melodic and good voice. Very good song indeed.

 Playlist: Nu-,rap- and funk Metal
Song: Korn - Evolution
I think this is a really cool song. Korn has achieved a very unique and great sound. The awesome is strong in this one.

 Playlist: Symphonic Metal
Song: After Forever - Discord
I like symphonic metal because metal blends very well with symphonic elements. It also makes room for lovely piano solos and epic choirs along with the heavy guitars and double bass drum.

 Playlist: NWOBHM
Song: Judas Priest - Metal Gods
One of Judas Priests best songs in my opinion. The chorus is epic. The solos are great. The riffs are awesome... especially when the guitar answers the vocals in the chorus. Towards the end you hear cutlery and a tray used as a percussion instrument.

 Playlist: Folk Metal
Song: Elvenking - The Perpetual Knot
Folk music puts a new twist on metal, which I like. Awesome melodies blended with the rhythms and heaviness of metal.

 Playlist: BAGPIPES ARE AWESOME!!!!!!
Song: Gordon Duncan - The Belly Dancer
The guitars and bagpipes are a very nice combination. The melodies are really cool and I really like the sound of the bagpipe.

 Playlist: Classical
Song: Gregorio Allegri - Miserere
This is a very beautiful song composed by Gregorio Allegri some years ago.

 Playlist: Blues
Song: B.B. King - The Thrill Is Gone
B.B. King is simply amazing when it comes to guitar. Here you see him in Montreux in 1993.

 Playlist: Play along:
Song: Evanescence - Haunted (My cover on guitar)
Since this playlist is called "play along", which is what I use it for, I decided that you should get to see me play along with the song. I've also uploaded covers of "Muse - Hysteria" and "Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me", but the sound quality on those is crap. I hope I didn't ruin the song for you. You can listen to the original here.

That was all the playlist I will bother posting from. I hope you enjoyed it :)

    1. Ibanez JS1600 :) Best guitar I've played until now :)
Do you have any videos up? What guitar(s) do you play?

    2. I don't have any videos because my camera sucks ass. You know, sound is not in sync with pictures etc.
I play on Cort KX-5 Katana.

    3. Cool :) I've not tried many cort guitars, but from what I hear they have some very nice ones :)
I know. My camera kind of sucks too, but I've got some decent audio recording stuff, so I can at least get a good sound.

  2. I love the cover of Haunted! It has really grown on me, and I still listen to it on occasion. :D
I think you should have posted an A7X song from the "A7X, BFMV +++" play list, though. ;) Just for the fun of asking, what is your favorite A7X song?

    1. Glad to hear that :) It was you who got me to listen to Evanescence, so it feels good to give something back :):p :)
An A7X song would have been too predictable :p
I don't have one favorite. I was obsessed with the "A Little Piece Of Heaven" (both the song and the video) for some weeks. Then I moved on to "Almost Easy", "Scream" and "Afterlife", so those are perhaps my favorites because they are the ones I've listened to the most. And "Nightmare" of course when that came out.

  3. Oh, that's great to hear. I feel like I've contributed to your great music taste. ;)
You're probably right, it might have been to predictable. You kind of showed a little what the "+++" was all about.
I see that, there are a lot of awesome Avenged Sevenfold songs. I love the intro in "Scream", but I think my favorite is "Unholy Confessions", because of the awesome guitar riffs. I just don't get tired of listening to it. You should cover it some day! :D

    1. Everything contributes to it. That's kind of why it encompasses so much music :p You have been contributing quite a lot with your blog, so thank you for that :)
Oh, I forgot to mention that one! I listened to "Unholy Confessions" before all those other songs (somewhere around 2008 maybe) and it was one of the songs that helped the transition from AC/DC, Iron Maiden and such and on to the heavier stuff.
I can cover it on Monday because I don't have to work then :)

    2. It's good to hear that the blog has served some purpose at least! :D
Sounds great, I'll be checking in to see if you've posted something ;)

    1. I overlooked it so much that I didn't find it :p
Just for the fun of asking: Did you like the bagpipe song? (Did you listen to it at all?)

    2. Haha, good!
I can barely update a normal page, so I didn't even bother trying to load an entire YouTube video. There is no hope with my slow, overheated computer with an even slower Internet connection.
