Carl Orff - O Fortuna, Classical

This is a classical piece that I'm sure many of you have heard already. It was originally a poem and was put to music by German Composer Carl Orff in 1935/36.

This music is, to me, powerful and foreboding. It fits for a poem about fate and Fortuna (Roman goddess of luck) because fate is just so big and incomprehensible and it can, as described in the poem, work both for you and against you. This poem tells more about the negative side of this. When paired eith the music you get the feeling that fate is just waiting to strike you down.

Please comment :) If you want you can also check out Therion's metal version of the song.
