Artist: Stratovarius
Song: Infernal Maze
Album: Elysium (Click here to buy the album on Amazon)
This is a great song from Stratovarius's last album, Elysium.
The intro is really great. It builds up from the first lines, which are sung by Timo Kotipelto without any instruments in the background. I must say that he sounds great. I would gladly listen to a whole song with just his voice.
The keyboard, played by Jens Johansson, is then added. It creates a beautiful dreamlike atmosphere.
Then we are brought into reality again as Timo sings "Delusion, destruction, salvation..." accompanied by the sudden appearance of the guitar, bass and drums.
After that the song really begins with an awesome keyboard riff. From there on it's all high quality Finnish power metal with a great keyboard/guitar solo in the middle.
I hope you like it :)
