Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love

Artist: Led Zeppelin
Song: Whole Lotta Love
Album: Led Zeppelin II (Get the album on Amazon)

Jimmy Page, one of the greatest rock guitarists ever, kicks this song of with one of the best riffs I've heard. John Paul Jones then starts backing it up with a great bass sound.  John Bonham then comes in with a drum fill and it goes on from there.
The guitar solo is awesome. It comes in right after what wikipedia calls a "free jazz-like break". John Bonham plays a drumroll and then suddenly you can hear this great solo, with a guitar tone that is just amazing.
Robert Plant is great too, of course.

I hope you like it :)

  1. Awesome song. I agree 'bout the solo. I don't really get what's happening during this "free jazz-like break". It sounds like the guy is masturbating or something. :D

  2. Haha! That's just Robert Plant moaning.
I don't really get what's happening either, exept that I suspect there's quite a bit of effects going on.
It does provide a great contrast to the solo, though :)
